Casey Cook introduced the speaker Sujit Singh, Executive Director Combined Efforts.  Combined Efforts began as a High School Adventure beginning in 2002. City Hi0gh School, our performers, our fundraiser, created an adaptation of Charles Dickens. In 2009 the events were open to the community working with people with disabilities.
President Amy called the meeting to order at 7:05 am.  Peggy Grimmer was inducted as a new member.  Peggy is a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones.  President Amy said the four area club highway cleanup on Saturday October 17th went very well. 
Rotary Events this week:  One Rotary Summit, Thursday Oct. 22, 5:30-6:30 Polio Event Friday October 23, 5:30-6:00 pm, Saturday October 24 Maggie Fire Wood Pizza donating 10% of proceeds to Polio Plus.  When calling in say your are with Polio Pizza.
There is a need for a leader of the Meals on Wheels program.  The Operation Warm  program for coats for children-$102 per box and adults $114.  The Ockenfel's family Christmas has donated coats to DVIP and Open Heartland. Donations can still be sent to Deb Ockenfels at 1370 Deerwood Drive NE, Swisher, IA   52338.  Make checks payable to:  Operation Warm. Phil Peterson said that there has been $13,550 donated toward the Tanzania Water Project. 
The speaker continued to talk about What is Happening since Covid.  On Zoom there is dance every Sunday from 4:00-5:00 pm.  There are 1012 members dancing.  The choir, a three week program consists of six men and the instructor.  There will be writers group and a theater group once we can meet in person again.
