Program Coordinator Mike Messier introduced Marcie Durian, Senior Resource Specialist LivWell Seniors of Johnson County Resources .  Marcie spoke about Care Giving for Care Givers. Marcie listed some resources:  legal reps, assistant in health care- giving shots, changing dressings, Identify Professional care for occupational therapy and physical therapy appointments.

President Seaba called the meeting to order at 7:05 am.  Rotarian's in the News:  Nancy Pacha said that Nicole Novak will be speaking in Marion.
Announcements:   President Seaba had a Thank you note from World Bicycle Relief for the donation of $588.00 from the Rotary Bike Ride Fundraiser.  Vernette Knapp announced that PDG John Dasher District Governor 1992-1993 passed away on September 27, 2019 .  Ann Romanowski  announced the Polio Awareness Fundraiser will be held Thursday October 24th at Midwest One. 6;00 PM-7:30 PM.  PDG and Foundation Chair Chris Knapp announced that he and Vernette had attended the new Zone  in Overland Park. He spoke of the correct branding and that we had received awards for Foundation and Polio.   Dick Huber announced that can sorting will be  on Thursday October 3rd at 9:00 AM.  Anniversary-October 1-9:  Tom Langenfeld 7 years, Nancy Stensvaag 18 years.  Vernette announced the Month Opener October 7th 5:30 pm -7:00 pm.  Joint Service Club Luncheon Oct. 10th.  Greg Probst announced that all is well with Youth Exchange.  He is running in the Chicago Marathon.  He is also participating in the Dance Marathon and asking for members to donate to the cause.
Speaker Marcie continued her talk Aging in Home and the challenges that presents.  People need to be update houses for handicap accessible bathrooms and other adjustments to their house. She has started a Memory Coffee for care givers to have support and get some rest and relaxation.  She expressed how important it is for caregivers to relax, walk, take care of your own health, get sleep, accept help when offered, forgive yourself and last of all LAUGH, AND HAVE SOME FUN.
