Jenny Seylar, July Program Coordinator, introduced speaker Lucy Baker.  Her presentation was on Barker Houses into Homes.  Barker Houses into Homes is a 501C3 that provides beds, bedding, and furniture to families in Johnson County.
President Amy called the meeting to order at 7:05 am.  Thursday, July 30, will be a social hosted by President Amy at 6:30 pm at Willow Creek Park.   July 29, President Elect Lia will host a Zoom meeting to discuss Youth Exchange for the meeting on September 15.  The Extreme Arena tour will be held August 3, at 4:30 pm.  The tour will also be on Zoom.

Lucy Barker continue to talk about Houses into Homes.Last year they were able to service 145 households.  This year with covid, it has been more difficult.  They have served 90 households.  The very important items are a bed, bedding and a kitchen table.  They work with Iowa City Community Schools, D.V.I.P., Department of Corrections, Four Oaks, Police Department, U Way for youth,  Ways to become involved  Donate money, items, or time. 
The warehouse is located at 401 16th Ave. Coralville.  Items donated are quarantined for a week.  Some of the volunteer opportunities are:  Planning deliveries, sorting and labeling for each recipient.
