Andreas Soemadi was our speaker today.  Andreas professional life is focused on facilitating student learning in math and physics at collegiate level.  Currently he is an instruct of physics at North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, Iowa.  He uses Mathematic in facilitating the learning of physics I also write Mathematics codes for all pieces in all my artwork.  To each curve (line for example) one can associate a mathematical equation.  Each mathematical equation is then encoded using Wolfram Mathematica.  The codes are then executed to show the corresponding curves which are ultimately printed on paper to produce the desired picture.  He uses Graphics BezierCurve with difference numbers to create a piece of art.  Andreas had several pieces of art and note cards for sale.  He donated 50% of the costs to the Rotary Club of Iowa City AM.
President Jenny called the meeting to order at 7:05 am.  Mark Ruggeberg and Deb Ockenfels talked about the Golden Turkey.  The Turkey currently resides at the Downtown Club. The food fight will run from July 15 thru August 15, 2022.  For Every $1.00 donated that will buy 5 lbs. of food.  Deb Ockenfels said that she and John do not have the dedicated 5 hours it takes to go the Kalona Auction.  Please make checks out to CommUnity on the Memo line put Rotary Club of Iowa City AM.  75,000 lbs. were donated in 2021.
Club Foundation Chair, Mark Stanley, discussed the Annual Fund Goal for the 2021-22 year.  The goal was $18,000, contributed $ 24,580.  The Polio Goal was $12,000 Contributed $12,10. 
Theresa Burns discussed the opportunity for fund raising with Aramark.  You need at least 10 people.  Each get paid $125.00 Kinneck is an 8-hour day.  The PM club may be interested.  
Karen needs program chairs for Sept. Jan. and Feb. Deb Dunkhase said all salmon orders needed to be in by Friday. Dr. Dan is catching salmon now.  The Iowa Most Mission will be in January 2023.
