Sign up for the Mini-Golf Tournament to be held June 5 in place of our Month Opener. Teams can be formed either ahead or as individuals register at the door. A sign-up sheet is coming around.
Mike Messier thanked everyone who helped at the Community Foundation Golf Tournament on Monday. There were about the same number of teams as last year, so it is anticipated about $30,000 to $35,000 will be raised.
Chris Knapp presented a number of awards from District Conference to the club. In particular, during Myrene Hoover's year as President we came in #1 for mid-sized clubs in membership growth; #3 in per capita giving to the RI Foundation Annual Fund; and we received recognition for a large donation in 2015-16 to End Polio Now. During 2016-17 we were recognized among only 14 clubs to be awarded the District Governor's Citation. Congratulations to one and all, and especially to Myrene Hoover and Deb Dunkhase for their great leadership these last two years.
The Year Ender will be held June 27 at 6:30 at the UICCU building in North Liberty. There will be a potluck dinner so that we can avoid charging for food. Hazel Seaba is organizing.
More volunteers are needed for the June 10 Can Do can sorting at the ReStore off Scott Blvd.
There is a part time job being advertised by the District to assist with the ClubFoot RAG.
Many folks expressed happiness.
Program
We discussed our reading recommendations at each table and then went around the room giving a summary of one or two selections from each table. The list from each table will typed up in one list and downloaded to our website.
