Speaker

Lee Holmes has now led two District 6000 groups to South Africa.  Karin Franklin and Nan Johnson were participants in the last trip.  They have taken shoes to African children, fitted people for glasses, visited schools, and have investigated water projects for RI Foundation matching grants.  Of particular concern are the water projects.  Villages and schools typically have water taken from polluted lakes or from wells that are not sufficiently deep to yield clean water.

The next trip is planned for late January/early February 2016 and they are taking applications now.  Contact Lee if you are interested at 515-669-3779 or leerobholmes@gmail.com.
