Jean Knepper, Program Chair introduced Barbara Vinograde, Executive Director Free Medical Clinic.  The clinic is celebrating a 50 year anniversary.
There are 33 free medical clinics in Iowa.  The Clinic currently is located at 2440 Towncrest Drive, Iowa City.  The mission of the clinic is is to provide quality comprehensive healthy service for the uninsured and under insured in Johnson County and surrounding area.  The 2021 Budget is $642,868..  They work with United Way, Community Foundation, Communities, North Liberty,, Coralville and  Iowa City. They work through service clubs, churches, grants and fund raising events. The clinic was able to remain open during Covid.  The clinic was able to add Tele-medicine
The clinic largest fund raiser is Friday After Work.  The hope is this event may be able to be held during the fall.
President Amy called the meeting to order at 7:05 am  Gratitude and Joy was shared by PE Liz Nichols.  She is grateful for her childhood and the values and hard work that her parents bestowed upon her. Her life consisted of church, concert band, music became her life. She is grateful for the values that Rotary shares.
Karin Franklin is the program chair for 2021-2022. If you are interested in being program coordinator for each month contact Karin.  She is looking for August now.
President Amy announced there are many opportunities for Saturday 24, 2021.  Tree planting, road side cleanup and District Conference in Ankeny and virtual. There will be a Mini One Rotary Summit on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at 6:30-7:45 pm
The Ride to End Polio total for our club was $2,058.43.  Jenny:  $645.00, Brad:  633.43, Brian:  $580.00, West High Interact $100.00, and City High Interact $100.00. The proceeds from District Conference will be divided between Polio Plus and Sukup Safety Homes
Iowa Most will be January 20-30-, 2022.
